Bernell P Schniers 80 of Carlyle and formerly of Germantown died Tuesday November 10, 2009 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Belleville 

He was born December 31, 1928 in Germantown to Edward and Frances (Wobbe) Schniers: they preceded him in death 

He married Mary Gail Hintz September 29, 1962 in Nashville, IL and she preceded him in death October 21, 1969 

He then Married Phyllis Taylor April 25, 1984 in St. Louis, MO and she preceded him in death July 3, 2008 

Also preceded in death by a brother Cyril E. Schniers, brother-in-law Arnold “Spike” Haake 

Surviving are daughters Tanna (John) Bosler of Centralia, Robin (David) Bryan of Breese, Stephanie (Bryan) Buck of Carlyle, Stacy (Kenny Powell) Kniser of Nashville 

Step children James (Sheri) Eveland of Highland, Tracy (Tyronne Lewis) Eveland of Carlyle 

15 grandchildren Diane Cammerata, Justin (Annastasia) Hughes, Stacey (Jeramie) Bradburn, Robert (Crystal) Taylor, Joshua (Heather) Schniers, Heather Buck, Sarah Kniser, Sean Kniser, Meagan Kniser, Jacob Radake, Misty Radake, Jessica Eveland, Kristin Eveland

Bernell was retired meat cutter after 29 years from Super Valu in Breese, and Carlyle IGA 

Member of St. Boniface Catholic Church in Germantown, American Legion Post 325 of Germantown, Meat Cutters Union Local 534 Teamster of Belleville 

Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday November 13 at 10:30 AM at St. Boniface Catholic church in Germantown with Fr. James Buerster officiating. Interment St. Boniface Cemetery 

Visitation will be held on Thursday November 12 from 4 to 8 PM and Friday November 13 from 8 to 10:15 am at the Moss Funeral Home in Germantown   

Memorials can be made to the donors; choice and will be received at the funeral home 

Germantown American Legion will hold service Thursday at 7:00 at the funeral home
