Marvin G. Schulte, 75, of Breese,
died Thursday, January 14, 2010 at Breese Nursing Home.
Mr. Schulte was born October 19, 1934
in Carlyle to Walter and Evelyn (Rolfingsmeyer) Schulte; they
preceded him in death.
He married Jane Venhaus on August 22,
1953 at St. Henry’s Catholic Church in Belleville; she preceded him
in death on August 26, 2007.
Also preceded in death by a son, Brad
Schulte; step-father, Edward Dust; brothers, Bradley Schulte and
Walter “Corky” Schulte; a sister-in-law, Rita Stratmann;
brothers-in-law, Karl Riedemann, Garneau McAllister, and Don
Stratmann; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Harry and Agnes
(Niebur) Venhaus.
Surviving are his children, Sandra
(Don) Hostmeyer of Breese, Maureen (Dennis) Albers of Breese,
Malinda (Woody) Huels of Carlyle, Wayne (Marilyn) Schulte of Breese,
Brian (Kris) Schulte of Breese, and Lisa (Ryan) Rensing of Breese;a
daughter-in-law, Dawn (Mark) Krebs of Breese;16 Grandchildren,
Michael (Angie) Hostmeyer, Angie (Ryan) Toennies, Jennifer (friend
Jason VonHatten) Albers, Eric (fiancé Katie Hauerland) Albers,
Jacob Albers, Jeremy (Lisa) Huels, Tracy (Bill) Lindsey, Keith
(friend Ashley) Huels, Jenny (friend Jordan Kreke) Schulte, Greg
(friend Ali Dierkes) Schulte, Justine Schulte, Andrew Schulte,
Justin Schulte, Baylee Rensing, Camryn Rensing, Braden Rensing;7
great grandchildren; a sister Donna Riedemann of Greenville;
sisters-in-law, Darlene “Darts” Schulte of Breese and Alice
McAllister of Lebanon; a brother-in-law, Norbert (Betty) Venhaus of
St. Peters, MO.
Marvin retired from General Motors,
and was a retired volunteer of the Breese Fire Department
after 36 years .
Member of St. Augustine Church and
Men’s Sodality, Knights of Columbus Council 2869, Concordia
Saengerchor, United Auto Workers.
Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will
be Monday January 18, 2010 at 11:00 am at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Breese with Fr. Chuck Tuttle and
Deacon Bob Lippert officiating. Interment St. Dominic ~
St. Augustine Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Sunday
January 17 from 4 to 9 PM and Monday January 18 from 8 to 10:30 am at the Moss Funeral Home in Breese.
Memorials can be made to St.
Augustine Church, All Saints Academy, Hospice of Southern Illinois
or Clinton County Humane Society and will be received at the funeral
home.
Breese Fire Department service at
6:30 PM and the Knights of Columbus members will pray the rosary
7:30 PM Sunday January 17 at the funeral home. |
