Daniel G. Seelhoefer, 47, of Bartelso died Sunday December 20, 2009 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis 

He was born August 16, 1962 in Breese to Dolores (Rickhoff) Seelhoefer and the late Herman Seelhoefer: his mother survives in Bartelso

 Also preceded in death by his mother-in-law Dorothy Kalmer, brother-in-law Ken Kalmer 

He married Karen Kalmer September 14, 1985 at St. Damian Church in Damiansville and she survives in Bartelso 

Also surviving are his children Cody (friend Elisha Engelmann) Seelhoefer of Bartelso, Kaitlyn Seelhoefer of Bartelso 

Brothers Mike “Buzz” (Sharon) Seelhoefer of Damiansville, Kurt (Shelly) Seelhoefer of Bartelso 

A sister Darlene (Tom) Winkeler of Bartelso 

Father-in-law Robert Kalmer of Damiansville 

Brothers and sisters-in-law Marilyn (Jerry) Beckmann of Highland, Garry (Sharon) Kalmer of Damiansville, Linda (Bob) Athmer of Aviston, Bev (Terry) Gebke of Bartelso, Mary (Jack) Langenhorst of Germantown, Mike Kalmer of Damiansville, Kevin (Ann) Kalmer of Damiansville

Daniel was employed with Southwestern Illinois Correctional Center as a locksmith.  He enjoyed woodworking, four wheeling, hunting, and motorcycle riding. 

Member of St. Cecilia Church in Bartelso, Bartelso Community Development, Catholic Holy Family Society, past member of the Illinois Locksmith Association 

Funeral Mass of Christian burial will be Wednesday December 23, 2009 at 11:00 am at St. Cecilia church in Bartelso with Fr. Henry Fischer officiating. Interment St. Cecilia Cemetery 

Visitation will be held on Tuesday December 22 from 4 to 9 PM and Wednesday December 23 from 8 to 10:15 am at the Moss Funeral Home in Germantown 

Memorials can be made to his children’s college educational fund or American Cancer Society and will be received at the funeral home
