Annette M. “Andy” Duncan, age 82, of Maryville, formerly of Highland, passed away Monday, September 7, 2026, at Liberty Village in Maryville.
She was born on June 19, 1944, in St. Louis, MO, a daughter of the late Eldon C. and Dorothy Anna (nee Boulanger) Weder.
Andy is survived her son Matthew Scott Duncan of Bradenton, FL; son-in-law, Timothy (Melody) Crews of Samson, FL; grandchildren, Hannah Carr Crews of Lexington, KY and Trevor Ace Crews of Greenland; nieces and nephews, Jody (Scott) Hammel, Ben P. “Trip” (Shannon) Manheimer III and Jay Mainheimer.
She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Staci Crews and sister, Margot (Ben, Jr.) Manheimer.
Andy was born in St. Louis, Missouri, and grew up in Highland, Illinois. A proud graduate of Highland High School's Class of 1962, she began her higher education at William Woods College in Missouri before transferring to Murray State University in Kentucky.
Andy spent her primary career working in the administrative office at Basler Electric. Her strong work ethic kept her active long past retirement, leading her to a second career at the Holiday Inn Express / Baymont in Highland, where she dedicated over 15 years working evenings and weekends. Outside of work, Andy was an avid reader, loved to play bingo, and enjoyed listening to Alan Jackson’s music.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2026, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m., with a Memorial Service to follow at Moss Funeral Home in Highland, IL.
In lieu of flowers, plants, or other gifts, memorials may be made to Multiple Sclerosis Society and will be received at the visitation or by mail at Moss Funeral Home, 1501 9th St., Highland, IL 62249, which is serving the family.
