June E. Davis, age 74, of Fort Myers Beach, FL, and formerly of Trenton, passed away Sunday, May 17, 2026, at Memorial Hospital in Shiloh. She was born May 6, 1952, in Belleville, the daughter of the late James and Florence (nee Foppe) Santel.
June married her husband of 54 years, Gary Davis on September 11, 1971, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Trenton, and he survives in Fort Myers Beach, FL. June is also survived by her sons, Steve (Alicia) Davis of Trenton and Jeff (Tana) Davis of Tulsa, OK; grandchildren, Jackson and Myla Davis; and brother-in-law, Michael Davis of Sahuarita, AZ.
June was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Ronald Santal and Russel (Ruth) Santal; an infant sister at birth; and parents-in-law, James and Betty (Wind) Davis.
June was the co-owner of Jim’s Formal Wear in Trenton from 1984 until her retirement in 2012. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Trenton as well as a board member of Chakota Therapeutic Riding Center in Germantown.
June had a deep love for traveling and embraced every opportunity to explore new places and create lasting memories with those she loved. She was happiest near the ocean, soaking in the warmth and beauty of tropical destinations, with Maui, Hawaii holding a particularly special place in her heart. Whether it was a family vacation, a quiet getaway with Gary, or simply dreaming about the next adventure, travel brought her great joy.
Above all else, June was devoted to her family. She found her greatest happiness in caring for others, supporting her loved ones, and spending time with her children and especially Jackson and Myla.
Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, June 8, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Breese with Fr. James Nall presiding. Interment will take place at a later date.
A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, June 7, 2026, from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. at the Aviston American Legion.
In lieu of flowers, plants, or other gifts, memorials may be made to Chakota Therapeutic Riding Center and will be received at the service or by mail at Moss Funeral Home, 535 N. 5th Street, Breese, IL 62230, who is serving the family.
