Larry W. Stevenson, age 76, of Breese, died Thursday, August 23, 2018 at St. Louis University Hospital.

Mr. Stevenson was born December 16, 1941 in Highland, a son of the late Charles and Esther, nee Gruenenfelder, Stevenson.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Lou Clymens; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Gilbert and Laura, nee Wilhaber, Christ; sister-in-law, Margie Krener and brothers-in-law, James Liening and James Christ.

Surviving are his wife, Marie, nee Christ, Stevenson of Breese whom he married June 18, 1966 at St. John United Church of Christ in Breese; sons, Jerry Stevenson and Robert (Wendy) Stevenson all of Breese; grandson, Aaron Stevenson; siblings, Dennis (Kate) Stevenson of Breese, Kenny (Janice) Stevenson of Pocahontas, Charlotte Liening of Jamestown, Charlene (John) Grapperhaus of Highland, Charles (Peggy) Stevenson of Breese, Sandy (Richard) Peters of Germantown, and Jane (Mike) Koehler of Beckemeyer; brother-in-law, Harold Krener of O’Fallon; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Larry was a veteran of the United States Army, serving 1964-1966 and retired from Basler Electric in Highland. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, mushroom hunting, shooting his slingshot, building items out of metal, but most of all hanging out with his grandson.

All services are private.

Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice and will be received through Moss Funeral Home in Breese who is serving the Stevenson family.
