Martin Stephen Zoellner, age 79, of Wildwood, MO, passed away Thursday, July 16, 2026, at Ellisville Rehab in Ballwin, MO. He was born August 20, 1946, in Cairo, IL, a son of the late Delbert and Mary Doris (nee Winger) Zoellner.
Martin married Jeannie Zoellner (nee Luber) on May 15, 1989, in Maryland Heights and she survives in Wildwood, MO. Martin is also survived by his son, Tyler Zoeller of Clermont, FL; sisters, Beth Zoellner of Madison, AL and Sarah Zoellner of Cape Girardeau, MO; mother-in-law, Shirley Luber (nee Hanselman) and brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Frank Lee of Cape Girardeau, MO, Diane Zoellner of Cape Girardeau, MO, Stephen Luber of Kittery, ME, and Jeffrey Luber of Cary, NC.
Martin was preceded in death by his siblings, Rosemary Earl, Suzanne Lee, and Michael Luber; and father-in-law, Julius Zoellner.
Martin proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Air Force. Following his military service, he enjoyed a successful career as a Medical Technologist with Quest Diagnostics, where he dedicated many years before retiring.
Martin embraced life with enthusiasm and never missed an opportunity for adventure. He was a member of the St. Louis Ski Club and enjoyed skiing, bicycling, horseback riding, and running. An accomplished pilot, Martin also earned his private pilot's license and found great joy in taking to the skies.
Private services will be held for Martin.
Memorials in honor of Martin may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association and will be received by mail at Moss Funeral Home, 1501 9th St. Highland, IL 62249, who is serving the family.
