Sandra T. Schrage, age 40, of St. Rose, died Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at her home. She was born December 6, 1985, in Breese.
Sandra is survived by her mother, Janice (nee Schomaker) (Scott) Kuhl of Carlyle; father, Kevin G. Schrage, Sr. of St. Rose; children, Tyler Schrage of St. Rose and Alyssa Schrage of St. Rose; significant other of six years, Jeff Goodin of Nokomis; bonus children, Glenn, Reese, and Morgan Goodin; siblings, Kevin (Ashley) Schrage, Jr. of San Diego, CA, Marie (Kyle) Sussenbach of Greenville, Christina Schrage of Vandalia, William (fiancée, Taylor Mackey) Kuhl of Carlyle, and Samantha Kuhl of Carlyle; nieces, Ava Schrage, Kylie, Abigail, Georgia, and Lorelai Sussenbach; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Sandra was preceded in death by her brother, Jon Schrage; maternal grandparents, Art and Cornelia (nee Schroeder) Schomaker; paternal grandparents, Edgar and Ruth (nee Richter) Schrage; and uncles, Mark Schomaker, Gary Schrage, Roger Schrage, and Jim Stroot.
Sandra graduated from Central Community High School in Breese in 2004. She continued her education at Kaskaskia College, where she earned three associate’s degrees. Sandra dedicated her career to caring for others and was employed as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer at John Cochran VA Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. She had previously worked at Dairy King in Breese, 1NB Bank in Aviston, and Anderson Hospital in Maryville.
Sandra was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic faith at St. Rose Catholic Church. She was also a member of the Thursday Night Ladies 1NB Bowling Team and was an avid Green Bay Packers fan.
Sandra found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She enjoyed reading, winery and distillery tastings, hiking, and camping. She especially loved ice cream because “it fills in the cracks.” Her sarcasm, warm smile, sense of humor, and caring heart touched everyone who knew her.
Above all else, Sandra cherished her family. She was a devoted mother, daughter, sister, partner, aunt, and friend whose love and support knew no bounds.
Funeral Service will be Monday, June 15, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Rose Catholic Church in St. Rose with Fr. Carl Schrage officiating. Interment will follow at St. Rose Cemetery.
Visitation will be Sunday, June 14, 2026, from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. and again Monday, June 15, 2026, from 8:30 – 10:30 a.m. at Moss Funeral Home in Breese.
In lieu of flowers, plants, or other gifts, memorials may be made to the wishes of the family (checks payable to Tyler Schrage) and will be received at the visitation or by mail at Moss Funeral Home, 535 N. 5th Street, Breese, IL 62230, who is serving the family.
