      Larry K. Lappe, age 65 of Portage Des Sioux, MO, born March 7, 1950 in Breese, IL, died Thursday, April 2, 2015 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO.

      He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene "Pete" and Edith "Edie", nee Frey, Lappe and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Marvin and Ruth Little.

      Surviving is his wife Debbie, nee Little, Lappe of Portage Des Sioux, MO, whom he married July 4, 1997; his children, Chad Lappe and wife Valerie and Nic Lappe and wife Angel of Highland, IL, Jason Burckhardt and wife Laura of Cody, WY, Angela Hedges and Melissa Long and husband Rich of Portage Des Sioux, MO; his grandchildren, Rhyan and Anderson Lappe, Brevin and Griffin Lappe, Madison and Joshua Burckhardt, Brooke and Kayla Hedges, Hailee, Jordan, Kaitlyn, and Emma Long; his siblings, Jerry Lappe and wife Nancy and Janice Hemann and husband Edward of Breese, IL, Tom Lappe and wife Sheila of Huntley, IL, and Shelly Cooper and husband John of Aviston, IL; his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Carol Odle and husband Jon of Corsicana, TX, Shirley Ochs and husband Steve of O'Fallon, MO, Ron Little and wife Martha and David Little and wife Terrie of St. Charles, MO, Mel Little of Portage Des Sioux, MO, and Karen Olsen and husband Guy of St. Peters, MO; and numerous nieces and nephews.

      Larry retired from the US Postal Service Operations Program in St. Louis, MO and was a member of the Orchard Farm VFW Post 4219 and the Moose Lodge. He enjoyed playing golf, cards, traveling, and going to the Fairmount Park Racetrack.

      A Celebration of Life gathering will be Sunday, April 19, 2015 from 1:00-4:00 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus, 3 Westbury Dr., St. Charles, MO 63301.

      Memorials can be made to the Siteman Cancer Center and will be received through Moss Funeral Home, 535 N. 5th St., Breese, IL 62230 who is serving the family.
