    Scott J. Albers, age 35, of Germantown, died Sunday, May 20, 2018 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Breese.

     

    Mr. Albers was born December 22, 1982 in Breese, a son of Mark and Charlene, nee Wessling, Albers of Germantown.

     

    In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife Ali, nee Lorenz, Albers of Germantown, whom he married September 28, 2013 in Aviston; a son, Rafe Albers; sister, Kimberly Fehr and her husband Christopher of Belleville; grandparents, Leon and Ruth, nee Timmermann, Albers of Germantown; mother-in-law, Terri Newkirk and husband Bob of Carlyle; father-in-law, Andrew Lorenz and friend Terry Kruep of Posey; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Tyson Little of Carlyle and David Newkirk and wife Jennifer of St. Peters, MO; nephews and nieces, Miles Fehr, Austin, Azlynn, Reagan, Dante, Sophie, Ethan, Jonas, and Irie; aunts and uncles, Diane Schniers and husband Stan of Germantown, Pam Albers of Colorado, Jean Brauer and husband Mike of Germantown, Tom Albers and wife Shelly of Germantown, and Shelly Richter and husband Scott of Kansas City; and numerous cousins and friends.

     

    He was preceded in death by grandparents, Vince and Eleanor, nee Beer, Wessling; and an aunt, Joyce Kuhl.

     

    Scott was a union carpenter and was employed with L. Keeley Construction in St. Louis and also worked on the family farm with his father.

     

    He was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church in Germantown, and Carpenters Union Local 662 in Freeburg. He enjoyed playing basketball, but most of all spending time with his wife and taking his son Rafe to the farm.

     

    Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, May 24, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Germantown with Fr. James Buerster presiding. Interment will follow in St. Boniface Cemetery in Germantown.

     

    Visitation will be Wednesday, May 23, 2018 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. and again on Thursday, May 24, 2018 from 9:00-10:15 a.m. at Moss Funeral Home in Breese.

     

    In lieu of flowers, plants, and other gifts, memorials are suggested to an educational fund for his son Rafe and will be received at the funeral home. (checks may be made to Ali Albers)
