Rick L. Walker, 66, of Carlyle, passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2024, at Highland Healthcare Center. He was born on October 5, 1957, to the late Dennis and Beulah Walker.
In addition to his parents, Rick was preceded in death by his siblings Barbara and Charles.
He is survived by his former wife and dear friend, Rebecca Pool of Aviston; children, Ronald Turner, Jr., of Belleville, Leandrea (Eric) Kalagian of Carlyle, and Jason Walker and Jordin Walker, both of O’Fallon, MO; bonus daughter, Tamara (Warren) Farrington of Damiansville; and grandchildren, Katelynn Turner, Daysalee Turner, Colby Turner, Rylee Kalagian, Dalton Lindsey, Carlee Kalagian, Hayzlee Kalagian, and Jaccob Walker.
Rick formerly worked as a truck driver at Ed Lewis Trucking Inc. in Louisville, IL. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army, and his dedication and service will be remembered.
He found joy in playing card games, both with others and on his phone, as well as horseback riding. Rick had a deep passion for riding motorcycles and cherished every ride he took on his Harley Davidson. His love for Rebecca, his children, and especially his grandchildren was immeasurable.
A graveside service with full military honors will be held at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, and details will be announced at a later date.
