Lyla Beth Kues

Lyla Beth Kues, was born and gained her angel wings on March 13, 2025, at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in St. Louis. Though her time with us was brief, she filled the hearts of her family with love beyond measure.

Lyla Beth was the cherished daughter of Jared and Paige (née Maue) Kues and the beloved little sister of Emelia Kues. She is deeply missed by her maternal grandparents, Brad and Michele Maue of Breese; paternal grandparents, Jerry and Susan Kues of Aviston and Mary and Gary Litteken of Trenton; great-grandparents, Kathryn “Kit” Timmermann of Breese and Dorothy “Dot” and Joseph “Joe” Geers of Breese; and aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Lyla Beth was preceded in death by her maternal great-grandparents, Maurice Timmermann and Donald “Don” and Julia Maue; paternal great-grandparents, Theodore and Olinda Kues, Charles and Dorothy Blackman, and David and Viola “Olie” Litteken; and great-aunt, Beth Gross.

She was so very, very special,

And was so from the start.

We held her in our arms

But mainly in our heart.

And like a single drop of rain

That on still waters fall,

Her life did ripples make

And touched the lives of all.

She's gone to play with the angels,

In heaven up above.

We keep our special memories

And treasure them with love.

Although our darling daughter

Was with us just a while,

She'll live on in our heart

With a sweet remembered smile..

Private services will be held for Lyla Beth.
