    Elsie C. Niemeyer, age 80, of Breese, died Friday, November 28, 2025, at her residence. She was born April 28, 1945, in Germantown, a daughter of the late Ferdinand M. and Elsie W. (nee Wiebler) Mueller.

     

    Elise married Anthony “Tony” Niemeyer on October 25, 1991, at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Breese and he preceded her in death on October 3, 2008. In addition to her parents and husband, Elsie was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Kimberly Voss; brother, David Mueller; sisters, Lillian (Bob) Wieter and Emma “Toots” (James) Jansen; and sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Dolores (George) Harvilla, Margaret (Bob) Dronsfield, Marcellus “Teedle” (Betty) Niemeyer, and Emerita “Emmy” (Wilbert “Willie”) Kohrs.

     

    Elsie is survived by her brothers, Ferd (Janet) Mueller of Germantown and Tom (Pam) Mueller of Germantown; brother-in-law, Greg (Marie) Niemeyer of Breese; special nephew, Corey Wieter of Breese; and very special lifelong friend, Marie Stevenson of Breese; and numerous nieces and nephews.

     

    Elsie was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church in Breese and the St. Joseph Hospital Auxiliary Quilt Club. She retired from Ardex Tile in Highland were she worked as a supervisor.

     

    She enjoyed quilting, going to bingos, watching the St. Louis Cardinals, and having Thursday luncheons with friends.

     

    Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, December 6, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Breese with Fr. James Nall presiding. Interment will follow at St. Dominic-St. Augustine Cemetery in Breese.

     

    Visitation will be Saturday, December 6, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Breese.

     

    In lieu of flowers, plants, and other gifts, memorials may be made to All Saints Academy and will be received at the visitation or by mail at Moss Funeral Home, 535 N. 5th St., Breese, IL 62230, who is serving the family.
