Lucille M. Trame, age 99, of Beckemeyer, passed away Monday, February 16, 2026, at Clinton Manor Living Center in New Baden. She was born April 11, 1926, in Beckemeyer, a daughter of the late William and Adeline “Ella” (nee Detmer) Kuhl. Lucille married Henry V. Trame on June 4, 1947, at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Beckemeyer, and he preceded her in death on June 18, 2010.
In addition to her parents, Lucille was preceded in death by her daughter, Joyce Deiters; siblings, Pauline Wilke, Lavern Kuhl, Gene Kuhl, and Aloys “Bud” (Nellie) Kuhl; parents-in-law, Edward and Margaret (nee Budde) Trame; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Alphonse (Viola) Trame, Agnes (Joe) Huelsmann, Helen (Clarence “Clem”) Horstmann, Leona (Edward) Wiegmann, Vincent Wilke, Lauretta Kuhl, and Edwin Trame.
Lucille is survived by her children, Donald (Karen) Trame of Florence, KY and Leroy (Patricia) Trame of Highland; son-in-law, Dan Deiters of Carlyle; grandchildren, Ann (Gabe) Hannan, Bridget (Jason) Fredstrom, Kate (Shawn) Robbins, Dale (Jaime) Lamm, Stacie (Jon) LeCroy, and Lisa (Chris) Bedard; sixteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; siblings, William (Glenda) Kuhl of Topeka, KS and Rita Schlarmann of Trenton; sisters-in-law, Pat Kuhl of Carlyle, Rose Kuhl of Breese, and Loretta Trame of Breese; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Lucille formerly worked at Brinkman’s Store in Beckemeyer and was known for her strong work ethic and warm smile. She was deeply involved in quilting, a craft she practiced with skill, patience, and joy. Her faith was an important part of her life, and she was a devoted member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church and the Altar Sodality. She also enjoyed fellowship through the Red Hat Society and her Canasta Club, and she faithfully served her community as past president and treasurer of the Beckemeyer American Legion Auxiliary Unit 1227. Above all, Lucille treasured time spent with her family, whose lives were enriched by her kindness, wisdom, and gentle spirit.
Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Beckemeyer with Fr. Chuck Tuttle presiding and Deacon Jay Fowler assisting. Interment will follow at St. Anthony Cemetery.
Visitation will be Monday, February 23, 2026, from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. and again Tuesday, February 24, 2026, from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. at Moss Funeral Home in Breese.
In lieu of flowers, plants, and other gifts, memorials may be made to St. Anthony Parish or Mater Dei Catholic High School and will be received at the visitation or by mail at Moss Funeral Home, 535 N 5th St. Breese, IL 62230, who is serving the family.
