Marion Mark Curry

Marion Mark Curry, age 61, formerly of Dix and Mt. Vernon, Illinois, passed away on Monday, March 30, 2026, at Mercy Hospital in St. Louis.

He was born on July 8, 1964, in Kalamazoo, Michigan, the son of the late Madison Dean and Jean (née Angle) Curry.

In addition to his parents, Marion was preceded in death by his brother, Gregory Curry; his sisters, Denise and Luella Curry; and his brother-in-law, Robert Roberts.

Marion is survived by his daughter, Myranda (Matthew) Brumley of Hurst; his cherished grandchildren, Anna, Russell, and Patrick Brumley; his sister, Linda Roberts of Iowa; and his sister-in-law, Anna Curry of Mt. Vernon.

Marion was employed at Kuhl Lumber and Pallet in Okawville, where he worked in milling. He was of the Baptist faith.

He had a deep love for animals, especially his beloved late dogs Rusty and Buddy, and surviving dog Buddy, he also held a special fondness for his daughter’s guinea pig, Carmel.

In his free time, he enjoyed listening to classic rock music.
