Marie A. Albers 91 of Breese died Monday May 27, 2013 at Breese Nursing Home,
She was born July 12, 1921 in Damiansville to Bernard and Mary Philomena (Neff) Spihlmann: they preceded her in death.
She married Norbert Albers June 5, 1946 at St. Damian Church in Damiansville; he preceded her in death April 17, 1996.
Also preceded in death by a daughter Joyce Pitt, stepmother Elizabeth (Thoele) Spihlmann, , a sister Emelia Heimann, brothers Raymond , Leo, Bernard, Richard, Clarence Spihlmann, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law George Heimann, James Wiemann, Anne Spihlmann, Lucille Spihlmann, Marie Spihlmann, Al and Leona Voss, Viola and Ed Korte, Lucille Albers, Margie ALbers, Eugene Albers
Surviving are her children Kathleen (Rich) Haake of Germantown, Ruth (Bill) Nonneman of Springfield, Dennis (Maureen) Albers of Breese, Duane “Norbie” (Donna) Albers of Breese, Elaine (Bob) Tintori of Springfield, Marian (Tom) Voss of Breese, Karen (Steve) Schmitt of Springfield

Marie worked at St. Joseph Hospital in Breese as a nurse’s aid.
Member of St. Dominic Church, Altar Sodality and past president, American legion Auxiliary Post 252 and past president, Egyptian past president club,
Funeral Mass of Christian burial will be Thursday May 30, 2013 at 10:00 am at St. Dominic Church, Breese with Fr. Patrick Peter officiating. Interment St. Dominic – St. Augustine Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday May 29 from 4 to 8 PM and Thursday May 30 from 8 to 9:30 am a the Moss Funeral Home in Breese.
American legion Auxiliary members will hold services Wednesday at 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
Memorials can be made to Mater Dei high School or Multiple Sclerosis and will be received at the funeral home.
