Erma Eversgerd-Gallatin, nee Renschen, 88, of Germantown, died Saturday, February 22, 2014 at Countryside Manor in Aviston.
She was born May 29, 1925 in Albers to August and Mary (Haar) Renschen: they preceded her in death.
She married Christopher Eversgerd June 4, 1945 in St. Louis, MO and he preceded her in death August 11, 1979. She then married Francis Gallatin March 1, 1993 and he preceded her in death March 1, 2008.
Also preceded in death by sons Marlin Eversgerd, Norman Eversgerd, James “Jim” Eversgerd, brothers Bill Haar, August “Gus” Renschen, Elmer Renschen, Cornelius Renschen
Surviving are her children Duane (Kathy) Eversgerd of Beckemeyer, Larry (Angie) Eversgerd of Germantown, Darlene (Mark) Lohman of Weaverville, NC, Linda (Rodney) Lohman of Germantown, Donald “Dino” Eversgerd of Germantown
10 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandson
A sister-in-law Millie Renschen of Germantown
Erma was an Inspector at Wee Walker Shoe factory in Carlyle
Member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, Germantown, American legion Post 325 Auxiliary, Double Gold Star mother (losing 2 sons in the Vietnam War), Carlyle VFW Auxiliary and past chaplain.
Funeral Mass of Christian burial will be Saturday March 1, 2014 at 11:00 am at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Germantown. Fr. James Buerster officiating. Interment St. Boniface Cemetery, Germantown.
Visitation will be Saturday March 1, 2014 from 9:00 to 10:45 AM at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Germantown.
Germantown American Legion Auxiliary will hold services at 10:00 am at the Church
Memorials can be made to the donor’s choice and will be received at the church or through Moss Funeral Home, Germantown
