Gloria A. Maue, nee Metzger, 87, of Trenton, died Sunday, May 4, 2014 at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis.
She was born November 26, 1926 in Trenton, IL to Wilbert and Lucille (Miller) Metzger; they preceded her in death.
She married Lawrence “Rusty” Maue on November 20, 1948 at St. Mary’s Church in Trenton, IL; he preceded her in death March 17, 1997.
Surviving is a sister, Jean Burd of Brooksville, FL and a brother, Jim (Carol) Metzger of Trenton, IL.
A niece, Sue (Steve) Brogdon and nephews Jay Metzger and Joe Metzger
Gloria retired as a secretary for a Wing Commander from Scott Air Force Base
She was a member of St. Mary’s Church and Altar Sodality in Trenton, and Trenton VFW Post 7983 Auxiliary. She enjoyed bowling and going to the casino.
Memorial Mass will be Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at 10:00 am at St. Mary Catholic Church in Trenton with Fr. Joseph Rascher officiating. Inurnment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Trenton.
Visitation will be Tuesday, May 13, 2014 from 9:00-10:00 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Trenton.
Memorials can be made to St. Mary Catholic Church and will be received at the church or through Moss Funeral Home in Trenton who is in charge of the arrangements.
