Judy A. Chociej, nee Funke, 67, of Trenton, died Thursday, September 11, 2014 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO.

Mrs. Chociej was born October 14, 1946 in St. Louis, MO to Dennis and Hazel (Ray) Funke; they preceded her in death.

On November 11, 1967 she married Barry Chociej at St. Peter/St. Paul Catholic Church in Collinsville and he preceded her in death on June 24, 2012.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Alex and Mary (Ferguson) Chociej.

Surviving are her daughters, Christina (Brandon) Allinder of West Virginia and Kathryn Chociej of Trenton; 3 grandchildren, David Koontz, Jaime Allinder, and Imz Allinder; and brothers, Harold (Sandy) Funke of St. Peters, MO and Robert (Kathy) Funke of O’Fallon.

Judy worked as a secretary for over 34 years at Scott Air Force Base (AMC/A3A-AFNIC).

She was of the Catholic faith; she loved to read and was a member of a local book club.

Memorial Service will be Monday, September 15, 2014 at 7:00 pm at Moss Funeral Home in Trenton with Mike Monroe officiating. Private interment will be at a later date.

Visitation will Monday, September 15, 2014 from 4:00-7:00 pm at the Moss Funeral Home in Trenton.

Memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society for Renal Cancer Research and will be received at the funeral home.
