Celestine E. "Stine" Niebur, 78, of Breese, died Monday, January 26, 2015 at Gulfside Center for Hospice at Heather Hill, New Port Richey, FL.
Ms. Niebur was born April 6, 1936 in Breese, the daughter of Joseph and Margaret (Maue) Niebur; they preceded her in death.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a sister in infancy, Althea Niebur; a brother and his wife, Clarence and Marie Niebur.
Surviving are brothers, Cletus Niebur and wife Florence of Beaverton, OR and Stanley Niebur and wife Jane, formerly of Breese now living in Trinity, FL; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Stine received her Bachelor's Degree in Education from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville. She taught at St. Dominic School and later All Saints Academy in Breese, retiring in 1999 after 44 years of devoting her life to Catholic education; and most recently worked at the CC Food Mart in Breese.
She was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church in Breese.
Memorial Mass will be Saturday, February 14, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Breese with Fr. Patrick Peter officiating. Private family inunrnment will follow in St. Dominic/St. Augustine Cemetery, Breese.
Visitation will be Saturday, February 14, 2015 from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Breese.
Memorials can be made to All Saints Academy and will be received at the church or through Moss Funeral Home, 535 N. 5th, Breese, IL 62230 who is in charge of the arrangements.
