Ralph C. Jansen 88 of Breese died Saturday July 2, 2016 at his residence.
He was born September 12, 1927 in Breese to Henry and Theresia (Koerkenmeier) Jansen: they preceded him in death.
Also preceded a brothers Dave Jansen, Donald Jansen, Francis “Chuck” Jansen, sisters Henrietta Jansen, Delores Ripperda, Eileen Detmer, Alice Kohrs, father and mother-in-law Nick and Adelaide (Lammers) Beer brothers-in-law Alphonse Jansen, Norbert “Rip” Ripperda, Ralph Kohrs, Ludwig Detmer, Nick Beer, sisters-in-law Gloria Jansen, Helen Beer
He married Dolores Beer December 29, 1952 at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Germantown, she survives in Breese.
Also surving are his 8 children Mary Kay (David) Helldoefer of St. Louis, MO, Gerald “Butch” Jansen of Bartelso, Carl (Denice) Jansen of Germantown, Mike (friend Portia) Jansen of Breese, Brenda (Gary) Stephens of Mansfield TX, Marcia (Greg) Blaies of O’Fallon, Kevin Jansen of Breese, Colleen “Cooky” (Jim) Kuhl of Breese.

Ralph retired from Monterey Coal Company and past Co-Owner of Jansen Truck Service. Ralph enjoyed wood working and volunteering to help many.
Member of St. Augustine Catholic Church and Men’s Sodality, Choir, Cemetery and Building Committee in Breese, American Legion Post 252, Breese, UMWA Local 2895, Habitat for Humanity volunteer, 50-year member of the Kings House Retreat, Catholic Holy Family Society, Catholic Knights and Ladies of Illinois, 1995 Fraternalist of the year.
Funeral Mass of Christian burial will be Tuesday July 5, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Breese. Fr. Chuck Tuttle presiding. Interment St. Dominic-St. Augustine Cemetery, Breese.
Visitation will be held on Monday July 4, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday July 5 from 8:00 to 9:30 a.m. at the Moss Funeral Home in Breese.
Memorials can be made to Celtic Hospice, Mater Dei High School or All Saints Academy and will be received at the funeral Home
Breese American Legion will hold services on Monday at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
