Bernadine M. Stahl, nee Hilmes, age 98 of Breese, and formerly of St. Louis, born February 16, 1918 in Carlyle, a daughter of the late George and Caroline, nee Wiebler, Hilmes, died Monday, December 5, 2016 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Breese.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband Ernest “Ernie” Stahl on March 17, 1994; and sisters, Veronica Crowell and Wilhelmina Hellmann.
Aunt Bern is survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and great-great nieces, and great-great-nephews.
Bernadine was a member of St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church in St. Louis.
A private entombment will take place in Resurrection Cemetery and Mausoleum in St. Louis, MO.
Memorials may be made to the Clinton County Humane Society and will be received through Moss Funeral Home, 535 N. 5th, Breese, IL 62230 who is serving the family.
