Doreen M. Wallace, nee Olliff, age 88 of Trenton, born October 6, 1928 in Hartford, CT, a daughter of the late Albert and Helen, nee Holden, Olliff, died Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at her residence.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband Charles Wallace, whom she married July 11, 1953 in Easton, MA and he died July 14, 2015; brothers, Jim, Tom, and Albert Olliff; and a sister-in-law, Arlene Olliff.

Surviving are her children, Richard (Maria Sanchez) Wallace of San Antonio, TX, Scott Wallace of Edwardsville, Steven (Brenda) Wallace of Trenton, and Sue Wallace of Trenton; 4 grandchildren, Brittany and Stephanie Wallace, Ricardo and Stephanie Sanchez; and a sister-in-law, Edna Olliff of Lakewood, MA.

Mrs. Wallace graduated from Bridgewater State University Teachers College in Bridgewater, MA and worked as a grade school teacher in Massachusetts and North Dakota. She was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ in Trenton and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and following all of their activities.

A Memorial Service will be Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John’s United Church of Christ in Trenton with Rev. Jean Carmean presiding. Interment will follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, MO.

Friends may call from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at St. John’s United Church of Christ in Trenton and memorials may be made to the church and will be received during the visitation or through Moss Funeral Home, 105 S. Main, Trenton, IL 62293 who is serving the family.
