Robert A. “Bob” Hopkins, Jr., age 52 of Fenton, MO, died Saturday, October 14, 2017 in Trenton, IL.

Bob was born October 1, 1965 in Fort Riley, KS, a son of Helen, nee Alfke, Valente of Trenton and Robert A. Hopkins, Sr. of Coconut Creek, FL.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife Donise, nee Wright, Hopkins of Fenton, MO whom he married August 2, 2000 in St. Louis, MO; siblings, Douglas Hopkins of Coconut Creek, FL, Lori Hopkins of Lompoc, CA, and Vincent (Donna) Hopkins of Appleton, WI; step-sister, Cherie Apuzzo of Coconut Creek, FL; mother-in-law, Clara Wright of Trenton; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Jo Michelle Soini; step-mother, Anita Hopkins; step-father, Don Valente; and father-in-law, Don Wright.

Bob worked as a warehouse associate for Sunfarm Food Service in St. Louis, MO. He was a former pro bowler, enjoyed watching sports especially NASCAR, football, and wrestling, but most of all enjoyed spending time with family and friends as he was always known as the happy-go-lucky jokester of the family.

A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, October 21, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Moss Funeral Home in Trenton, IL with Rev. Paul Hooks officiating.

Visitation will be Saturday, October 21, 2017 from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at Moss Funeral Home in Trenton, IL.

In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society and will be received at the funeral home.
