Sylvester H. “Sly” Wempe, Jr., age 59, of Carlyle, died Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at St. Louis University Hospital.
Mr. Wempe was born June 24, 1958 in Breese, a son of the late Evelyn, nee Yates, and Sylvester “Stormy” Wempe, Sr.
He is survived by siblings, Steven (Norma) Wempe of Princeton, Judy (Roger) Newman of Princeton, Helen (Gordon) Poss of Highland, Mike Wempe of Germantown, Wayne (Judy) Wempe of Belleville, Barb (special friend Rick Sorensen) Wempe of Breese, and Kevin Wempe of Breese; a nephew, Jeremy (Dawn Santel) Wempe of Carlyle and many other nieces and nephews.
Sly was employed at Wal-Mart in Carlyle.
Memorial Service will be Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. at Moss Funeral Home in Breese with Deacon Linus Klostermann officiating.
Visitation will be Tuesday, February 6, 2018 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Moss Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the wishes of the family and will received at the funeral home.
