    Vincent J. Klostermann, age 82, of Greenville, died Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at Highland Healthcare Center.

     

    Mr. Klostermann was born February 8, 1936 in St. Rose, a son of the late Joseph and Frances, nee Heimann, Klostermann.

     

    In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Catherine Koerkenmeier and Dolores “Tudy” Weinheimer; brother, Robert “Bob” Klostermann; and brothers-in-law, Cletus Koerkenmeier, Burnell Weinheimer, Tom Richter, and Tom Burk.

     

    Surviving are his children, Dan (Catherine) Klostermann of Highland, Joyce (Alan) Lande of Woodstock, Yvonne (Phil) Hallemann of Pocahontas, Brenda (Dan Segrist) Klostermann of Highland, and Jacqueline (James) Green of Bois D Arc, MO; grandchildren, Mallory and Adam Klostermann, Jonathan and Erica Lande, Jessica, Alicia, and Amber Jo Hallemann, and Samantha Segrist; siblings, Margie Richter of Aviston, Joe (Becky) Klostermann of Breese, Edith (Karl) Gerhard of Little Rock, AR, and Helen Klostermann of Breese; sister-in-law, Leann Klostermann of Breese; former wife, Pauline, nee Huelsmann, Billhartz of Highland; and numerous nieces and nephews.

     

    Vince was a farmer in St. Rose for over 50 years. He graduated Aviston High School in 1954. He proudly served his country in the United State Army beginning in 1955 and honorably discharged in 1957. He was a cofounder of the St. Rose Little League organization, helped establish the St. Rose Elementary basketball program, and was a member the National Farmer’s Organization (NFO).

     

    Memorial Mass will be Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Francis Catholic Church in Aviston with Fr. Edward Schaefer and Deacon Linus Klostermann presiding. Burial of cremains will be in St. Rose Cemetery with full military honors accorded.

     

    Visitation will be Wednesday, March 28, 2018 from 9:30-11:00 a.m. at St. Francis Catholic Church in Aviston.

     

    In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to Mater Dei Catholic High School or Disabled American Veterans and will be received at the church or through Moss Funeral Home in Breese who is serving the family.
