Sylvester F. “Bud” Fauke, 89 of Germantown, died Friday, March 2, 2012 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Breese.
Mr. Fauke was born February 1, 1923 in Bartelso to Ferdinand and Pauline (Deerhake) Fauke; they preceded him in death.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a daughter, Jane Fauke-Williams; a son, William “Beef” Fauke; a sister, Acquilene Lager; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Cletus Lager, Robert Schuchmann, Vince Strieker, Linda and John Rudolph, Lawrence and Catherine Strieker, Gene Strieker, and Elmer Strieker.
He married Lorene Strieker on April 23, 1946 at St. Bernard Church in Albers; she survives in Germantown.
Also surviving are his children, Joyce (Hajo) Schwadke of Hamburg, Germany, Gerald Fauke of Germantown, and Mary Lou (Mike) Babb of Germantown; 3 grandchildren, Jill Schwadke and Flynn and Lisl Fauke; and sisters-in-law and a brother-in-law, Mildred Schuchmann of Carlyle, Robert (Irene) Strieker of Albers, and Evelyn Strieker of Belleville.
Bud retired as a shoe cutter from the Moran Shoe Company which was formerly in Carlyle.
He was a member of St. Boniface Church and was a Veteran of the United States Army.
Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, March 8, 2012 at 10:00 AM at St. Boniface Church in Germantown with Fr. James Buerster and Deacon Rich Bagby officiating. Interment will follow in St. Boniface Cemetery, Germantown.
Visitation will be Thursday, March 8, 2012 from 9:00-10:00 AM at St. Boniface Church in Germantown.
Memorials can be made to St. Boniface Cemetery and will be received at the church or through Moss Funeral Home in Germantown who is in charge of the arrangements.
