Phyllis Josephine Wright, age 98, of Breese and formerly of Pinckneyville, passed away Friday, August 30, 2019 at the Villas at St. James in Breese.
She was born April 22, 1921 in Kenosha, WI, a daughter of the late Florence, nee Janisky, and Charles J. Konz, Sr.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Richard Wright, whom she married February 8, 1945 in Providence, RI and who died August 6, 2003; a brother, Charles J. Konz, Jr. and his wife Alberta; and a sister, Dorothy Sullivan and her husband John.
Surviving are a nephew, Charles J. Konz, III of Kenosha, WI and several close family friends.
Phyllis formerly worked at John J. Meier Grocery in St. Louis in data processing and bookkeeping.
Funeral Service will be Saturday, September 7, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Moss Funeral Home in Breese with Rev. Dr. Jim Donahue officiating. Interment will follow in Lakeview Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights.
Visitation will be Saturday, September 7, 2019 from 9:00-10:00 a.m. at Moss Funeral Home in Breese.
Memorials may be made to any Veteran’s organization of the donor’s choice and will be received through Moss Funeral Home, 535 N. 5th, Breese, IL 62230 who is serving the family.
