Jose Luis Ramos Lemus, age 40, of rural Breese, died Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at his home.
He was born August 13, 1979 in the town of Cherán, state of Michoacán, Mexico, the son of Francisco Ramos Jeronimo and Carmen Lemus Roman.
Jose is survived by his parents; wife, Maria Antonia Leyva Tomas whom he married January of 2005; children, Ashley Yasmin Ramos Leyva, Kelly Maribel Ramos Leyva, and Santos Heriberto Ramos Leyva; siblings, Celia Ramos Lemus, Juana Ramos Lemus, and Pedro Ramos Lemus; and cousins, Marta Flores Ramos and Sebastian Flores Ramos.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Heriberto Ramos Lemus.
Jose worked as a farmhand and was a member of St. Damian Catholic Church in Damiansville.
Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, February 8, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Damian Catholic Church in Damiansville with Fr. James Allen presiding.
Visitation will be Friday, February 7, 2020 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at St. Damian Catholic Church in Damiansville.
Memorials may be made to the family and will be received at the church or through Moss Funeral Home in Breese who is serving the family.
