Adrienne A. Wobbe, 94, of Breese, IL passed away peacefully December 18, 2020 at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Breese, IL.
She was born October 23, 1926, in Breese, IL, the daughter of the late Adeline (Schlueter) and Raymond Perkes.
She married Thomas F. Wobbe on August 26, 1947, at St. Dominic’s Catholic Church in Breese.
Adrienne is survived by her husband of 73 years, son Daniel (Geri) Wobbe of Breese and daughter Bonnie (Richard) MacLeod of Englewood, Florida. Grandchildren include Jodi (Tim) Losinger of Castle Rock, CO, Scott (Amy) Wobbe of Trenton, IL, Thomas MacLeod of Walsenburg, CO and Amanda MacLeod of Tucson, AZ and 5 great grandchildren Kara and Abby Losinger, Brennan and Brayden Wobbe, and Thomas MacLeod.
Also surviving are a sister Eileen McCoy, a brother Don “Duck” (Carla) Perkes, sisters-in-law Betty Perkes, Mary Ann Perkes, Sally Steiner and brother-in-law Arnold Wobbe.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father-in-law Anton and Rose (Vosholler) Wobbe; brothers Laverne (Annette) Perkes, Raymond “Jupe” Perkes, William “Bill” Perkes; brother and sister-in-law’s Mac McCoy, Ferdinand Steiner, Harold Wobbe, Burnell (Helen) Wobbe, Fremont “Slugger” (Martha) Wobbe, Martha (Alphonse) Strieker, Lorine (Elmer) Hochuli and Fern Wobbe.
She was a member of St. Dominic’s Catholic Church, Breese, IL, St. Dominic’s Altar Sodality, and an Honorary member of HSHS St. Joseph’s Hospital Auxiliary.
Adrienne enjoyed many years with her husband and friends during the winter months in the Texas Rio Grande valley. She was a huge fan of St. Louis Cardinals baseball and enjoyed playing bingo, cards and an occasional slot machine or two. She adored her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be missed every day by all who loved her dearly.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date when all of the family can be together and celebrate Adrienne’s life.
In lieu of flowers, plants or other gifts, memorial may be made to Mater Dei High School Foundation. Memorials will be received through Moss Funeral Home, 535 N. 5th, Breese, IL 62230 who is serving the family.
