Gary L. “Snip” Wuebbels, age 74, of Germantown, passed away Monday, December 27, 2021 at HSHS St. Joseph’s Hospital in Breese.
Snip was born August 27, 1947 in Breese, the son of the late Frank and Marie, nee Bohn, Wuebbels.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded by an infant brother, David Wuebbels.
He is survived by his sister, Judy Bergmann of Germantown; an aunt, Laura Wuebbels of Germantown; and numerous cousins.
Snip was a veteran of the United States Army and retired as a heavy equipment operator from Operating Engineers Local 520, Granite City.
He was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church in Germantown and was an avid outdoorsman, spending numerous hours fishing Shoal Creek and hunting squirrels, rabbits, and deer.
Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Germantown with Fr. James Buerster presiding. Interment of cremains will follow at St. Boniface Cemetery, Germantown.
Visitation will be Tuesday, January 4, 2022 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Germantown.
In lieu of flowers, plants, and other gifts, memorials may be made to the Germantown Fire Department and will be received at the church or by mail, Moss Funeral Home, P.O. Box 117, Germantown, IL 62245 who is serving the family.
