Albert F. Schleper, age 86, of Trenton, died Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at Alhambra Care Center.
Mr. Schleper was born July 27, 1932 in Trenton, a son of the late Henry and Catherina, nee Rakers, Schleper.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Agnes, nee Lange, Schleper, whom he married September 17, 1966 in Mt. Vernon and she died February 6, 1997; grandson, Paul Hahn, III; son-in-law, Paul Hahn, II; and siblings, Anthony Schleper and wife Josephine, Bernadine Emig and husband Alois, Josephine Rehkemper and husband Edward, Alphonse Schleper and wife Evelyn, Christine Hilmes and husband Arnold, Sr., Sr. Theresa Schleper, PHJC, and George Schleper.
Surviving are his son, Robert Schleper of Trenton; step-daughters, Debra Hahn of Fenton, MO, Donna (Brad) Enke of St. Louis, and Diana (Larry) Bone of Fenton, MO; grandchildren, Michael (friend Melissa Mruzik) Hahn, Andrew (Ariana) Oriez, Katherine Oriez, Daniel Ringgenberg, and Marsha Ringgenberg; great-grandchildren, Maurice Oriez, Bridget McCoy, Nicholas Oriez, Finn Hahn, Malachi Hahn, and Autumn Hahn; and a sister, Sr. Georgine Schleper, PHJC of Donaldson, IN.
Albert retired as a janitor and baler from Pregis in Trenton. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and Holy Name in Trenton, Trenton Knights of Columbus 2932, and the Fourth Degree Bishop Althoff Assembly 193.
Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church in Trenton with Fr. Joseph Rascher and Deacon John Fridley presiding. Interment will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Trenton at a later date.
Visitation will be Tuesday, October 23, 2018 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. and again on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 from 8:30-9:15 a.m. at Moss Funeral Home in Trenton.
The Trenton Knights of Columbus will hold services at 7:00 p.m. followed by the Fourth Degree Bishop Althoff Assembly Chalice Service Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, plants, and other gifts, memorials may be made to the wishes of the family and will be received at the funeral home.
