Alexis M. D’Amico, 16, of Grantfork, IL and formerly of St. Jacob, IL and Trenton, IL, died Saturday, August 30, 2014 in St. Louis University Hospital, St. Louis, MO.
Ms. D’Amico was born May 15, 1998 in Belleville, IL to Vicky (Smith) and Dante D’Amico, Jr.; her mother survives in Nashville, NC and her father survives in Grantfork, IL.
In addition to her parents, she is also survived by brothers, Eric (Jerica) D’Amico of Raleigh, NC, Joshua Stroder of St. Louis, MO, and Jonathan Stroder of Colorado Springs, CO; maternal grandfather, Robert Smith, Sr. of Newport, NC; a nephew, Raylan D’Amico; and aunts and uncles, Crystal Brown of Nashville, NC, Jerry Smith of Garner, NC, Ricky Smith of Newport, ND, and Carl D’Amico of California.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Mary Beulah (Rhue) Smith; paternal grandparents, Louise (Careri) and Dante D’Amico, Sr.; and an uncle, Robert Smith, Jr.
Alexis currently was a junior at Highland High School in Highland, IL and was a member of The Pentecostals of Troy, Troy, IL.
Funeral Services will be Thursday, September 4, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at The Pentecostals of Troy, 8965 State Route 162, Troy, IL with Rev. Joseph Lawhorn officiating. Interment will take place at a later date in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Newport, NC.
Visitation will be Wednesday, September 3, 2014 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the Moss Funeral Home in Trenton and again on Thursday, September 4, 2014 from 9:30-11:00 a.m. at The Pentecostals of Troy, Troy, IL.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Brain Injury Association of America or to the family’s wishes and will be received at Moss Funeral Home in Trenton or at The Pentecostals of Troy.
