    Bonita L. Lang, nee Bollinger, age 78, of Aviston, died Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at her home.

     

    Mrs. Lang was born March 5, 1939 in Millburg, MO, a daughter of the late Raymond and Alene, nee Schreiner, Bollinger.

     

    In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Ronald Bollinger.

     

    She is survived by her husband Harold Lang of Aviston, whom she married April 4, 1959 at the United Methodist Church in Illmo, MO; children, Harold Keith (Carolyn Downs) Lang of Cary, IL, Cynthia “Cindy” (AJ) DePyper of Rochester, IN, Ginger (Klete) Geren of Ankeny, IA, and Cherri (Kerry) Thompson of O’Fallon, IL; grandchildren, Adam DePyper, Zachary DePyper, Mason DePyper, Daniel (Lisa) Lang, Sarah Lang, Kristin (Shane) Boeshart, Matthew Geren, Jacob Geren, Thomas Geren, William Geren, Blake Hunter, and Alexis Hunter; step-grandchild, Brionna Montag; step-great-grandchildren, Savannah Brooks and Brantley Brooks; and siblings, Nancy (Everett) Mitchell of Mountain Grove, MO, Clara (Kirby) Friese of Jackson, MO, and Ruth Sugonis of Kenova, WV.

     

    Bonita was a homemaker and seamstress and she enjoyed quilting, sewing, reading, gardening, and traveling (all of the United States, South African Mission Trip, and Japan).

     

    She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Trenton, United Methodist Women, Companion in Christ, Ovarian Cancer Support Group BJC at Siteman Cancer Center, and made quilts for the Cunningham Children’s Home.

     

    Funeral Services will be Saturday, October 7, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at First United Methodist Church in Trenton with Pastor Mark Smith officiating. Interment will be in Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery in Old Appleton, MO.

     

    Visitation will be Saturday, October 7, 2017 from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at First United Methodist Church in Trenton.

     

    Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church in Trenton, Ovarian Cancer Society, or to the Cunningham Children’s Home and will be received at the church or through Moss Funeral Home in Trenton who is serving the family.
