First Baptist Church ~ Carlyle

Carol Lynn Sexton, age 62, of Carlyle, passed away Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at Carlyle Healthcare Center.  She was born April 26, 1961 in Centralia.

Carol is survived by her Carlyle Commons Marion Co. Horizon Center CILA Family, Jill (roommate), Jerry, Margaret, Sam, Matt, Mike, and Tara; caregivers, Brady Johnson (her favorite staff member), Karen Yardley, Crissie Bouldin, Katie Cox, James Stief, Reggie Bauer, Asia Agin, Crystal Moseley, and Tiffany Scronce.

Carol dedicated her time and efforts at the workshop at Community Link, leaving a lasting impact on those around her. She will be fondly remembered by her loving CILA family and the caregivers who provided her with unwavering support and care.

Memorial Service will be celebrated Thursday, February 22, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Carlyle with Rev. Scott Broughton officiating.  Interment will take place at Ellwood Cemetery in Breese.

Visitation will be Thursday, February 22, 2024 from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Carlyle.

Memorials in honor of Carol may be made to the Carlyle Commons Marion Co. Horizon Center CILA and will be received at the visitation or by mail, Moss Funeral Home, 535 N. 5th St. Breese, IL 62230, who is serving the family.
