Catherine F. “Cathy” Koerkenmeier 78 of Highland died Wednesday September 26, 2012 at Faith County Side Homes in Highland.
She was born January 30, 1934 in St. Rose to Joseph and Frances (Heimann) Klostermann: they preceded her in death.
Also preceded in death by a brother Robert Klostermann, a sister Dolores “Tudy” Weinheimer, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Bernell Weinheimer, Edgar and Alice Koerkenmeier, Arnold Koerkenmeier, Victor Koerkenmeier, Joseph Koerkenmeier, Clara and Ted Elling, Viola and Kenneth Stine, Leona and Jack Boien, Clem Lauberth, Fred Olliges.
She married Cletus Koerkenmeier August 11, 1954 at St. Rose Church and he survives in Highland.
Also surviving are her children David (Judy) Koerkenmeier of Highland, Susan (Mike) Gillespie of Antioch, Donna (Darwin) Meskil of Highland, Nancy (Greg) Rehkemper of St. Rose, Carol (Stephen) Smith of Highland, Cindy (Jeff) Gray of Greenville, Tammy (Rick) Bakos of Mount Clair, NJ
18 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren

Cathy was a homemaker and previously worked as a CNA at Faith Country side Homes and St. Joseph Hospital in Highland.
Member of St. Paul Catholic Church in Highland.
Funeral Mass of Christian burial will be Saturday September 29 at 9:00 am at St. Paul Catholic Church with Fr. Scott Snider officiating. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery, Highland.
Visitation will be Friday September 28 from 4 to 8 PM at Moss Funeral Home in Trenton. Saturday September 29 from 8 to 8:45 am at St. Paul Catholic Church in Highland.
Memorials can be made to Alzheimer Association or Hospice of Southern Illinois and will be received at the funeral home.
