Charles J. “Chuck” Voss, 49, of Breese, IL, born November 5, 1962, passed away on January 5, 2012, at his home after a lengthy illness.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife Joyce (Henrichs), whom he married on April 14, 1984, and two sons, Jay and Ryan. He is also survived by his parents, Frank and Rita (Eilers) Voss of Breese; brothers, David (Judy) Voss, Tom (Marian) Voss, Karl Voss (special friend Mary Riggs), and a sister, Brenda (Mike) Blumenstein, all of Breese; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Gervase and Dolores (Varel) Henrichs of St. Rose; brothers-in-law Kenny (Donna) Henrichs of St. Rose and Mark (Wendy) Henrichs of Iowa City, Iowa; 16 nieces and nephews; and many wonderful friends and neighbors.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, August and Mary Voss and Joe and Bertha Eilers, and dear friend Mike “Pixie” Von Alst.
Chuck worked in Finance for Quip Industries, Stanford Products, Americana Building Products and Jackson Hewitt Tax Service. He was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church, the Breese Jaycees, Breese Optimist Club, and the Breese Knights of Columbus Council 2869. He volunteered many hours over the years coaching youth baseball and basketball. Chuck led a very full life. He enjoyed playing golf, basketball, traveling, watching all sports, and being a coach to many. His greatest joy was spending time with his family.
Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, January 9, 2012 at 11:00 am at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Breese with Fr. Chuck Tuttle officiating. Interment will follow in St. Dominic~St. Augustine Cemetery, Breese.
Friends may call from 1:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 8, 2012 and again on Monday, January 9, 2012 from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. at the Moss Funeral Home in Breese.
Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice and will be received through the funeral home.
