Craig J. “Herk” Hoerchler 42 of Shattuc died Saturday March 30, 2013 at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, MO.

He was born June 20, 1970 in Breese to Donald Hoerchler, and Sandra Essenpreis

He was preceded in death by a brother Jerad A. Essenpreis-Wellen, grandparents Henry and Agnes (Hilmes) Hoerchler, James and Dorothy (Rolfingsmeyer) Essenpreis, an uncle Robert Hoerchler.

Surviving are his father Donald Hoerchler of Breese, his mother Sandra Essenpreis and step father James Schrage of Shattuc.

A sister Angela Guellil of Fairview Heights,

nieces Jeannette and Sabrina Guellil

Aunts, Uncles and cousins.

Herk worked in construction.

He enjoyed family, friends and his dogs Kali and Maisie.

Funeral services Wednesday April 3, at 11:00 am at Moss Funeral Home, in Breese with Pastor Steve Hanna officiating. Interment St. John Cemetery, Breese.

Visitation will be Tuesday April 2 from 4 to 8 PM and Wednesday April 3 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at the Moss Funeral Home in Breese

Memorials can be made to the donor’s choice and will be received at the funeral home.
