Dean E. Spies, age 59, of Pinckneyville, passed away Monday, January 24, 2022 at his home.
He was born July 3, 1962 in Wurzburg, Germany, son of Waltrud “Trudy”, nee Reinhart, Spies-Toennies and the late Louis Spies.
In addition to his mother, Dean is survived by his step-father, Adrian Toennies; son, Buddy (Meredith) Spies; grandchildren, Lillian, Rosalie, Trip, and Levi Spies; and brothers, Roland Spies and Kurt (Kim) Spies.
Dean was preceded in death by his father.
Dean was a diesel mechanic, enjoyed watching racing and the St. Louis Cardinals, and his grandchildren were the joy of his life.
Memorial Service will be Monday, January 31, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Moss Funeral Home in Trenton with Pastor Nicole Cotton officiating. Interment will follow at Trenton Cemetery.
Visitation will be Monday, January 31, 2022 from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at Moss Funeral Home in Trenton.
