Dennis William Haas, age 60 of Trenton, IL, died Monday, April 6, 2015 at his residence.
Mr. Haas was born February 14, 1955 in Highland, IL, a son of Frank and Angela, nee Berkemann, Haas; they preceded him in death.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Louise "Missie" Dumstorff.
Surviving are his siblings, Kathleen M. Diepholz and husband Victor of Troy, IL, Frances Jean Demkey and husband Leo of Heyworth, IL, and James Haas and wife Shirley of Trenton, IL; a brother-in-law, William “Moose” Dumstorff of Trenton, IL; and nieces and nephews.
Dennis graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Geology from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville and was an avid rock collector.
He was a veteran on the United States Navy serving from 1978-1982, formerly worked for S & J Construction in Trenton, IL and was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Clinton County Historical Society, and the Trenton VFW Post 7983.
Memorial Mass will be Friday, April 10, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church in Trenton, IL with Fr. Joseph Rascher officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Trenton, IL.
Visitation will be Friday, April 10, 2015 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church in Trenton, IL.
