    Dolores M. Kohnen, nee Gebke, age 88, of Germantown, died Monday, October 2, 2017 at her home.

     

    Mrs. Kohnen was born September 11, 1929 in Bartelso, a daughter of the late Bernard and Elizabeth, nee Becker, Gebke.

     

    In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings, Thomas Gebke (toddler), Cornelius Gebke, Norbert Gebke, Betty Eversgerd, Pat Haake, and Bernard Gebke, Jr.; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Theodore and Anna, nee Wobbe, Kohnen; and sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Helen Gebke, Clara Gebke, Alphonse Eversgerd, Joe Haake, Rita Gebke, Bernice Gebke, Greg Eversgerd, Arnold Michels, Stanley Goewert, Tony Benhoff, Paul Jansen, Steve Kohnen, Alois “Ollie” and Minerva Kohnen, Vince and Mandy Kohnen, Regina and Harold Wolbert, and Irene Kohnen.

     

    She is survived by her husband Theodore “Ted” Kohnen of Germantown, whom she married September 11, 1951 at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Breese; children, Dale (Vicky) Kohnen of Germantown, Geralyn (Ron) Davis of Centralia, Sharon (Don) Patterson of Centralia, and Dan (Jacinta) Kohnen of Germantown; 9 grandchildren, Eric (Jessica) Kohnen, Bradley (Melissa) Kohnen, Matt (Leigh Ann) Davis, Nathan (Erica) Davis, Ben (Suzanne) Patterson, Nicole (Dusty) Garren, Andrew (Jaymee) Patterson, Ashley (fiancé Austin Schukar) Kohnen, and Mary (Gavin) Anderson; 15 great-grandchildren; siblings, Larry Gebke of Germantown, Cleo Eversgerd of Trenton, Sis Michels of Germantown, Rosemary Goewert of Shiloh, Aggie Benhoff of Breese, Margie Jansen of Bartelso, and Blanche (Bob) Kohrmann of Bartelso; a sister-in-law, Marcella Kohnen of Germantown; and numerous nieces and nephews.

     

    Dolores formerly worked at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Breese, St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia, and Breese Nursing Home as a surgical technician and nurses aid.

     

    Mrs. Kohnen was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church in Germantown. She loved all holidays, traveling, listening to country music, and dancing.

     

    Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, October 6, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Germantown with Fr. Dennis Voss presiding. Interment will follow in St. Boniface Cemetery, Germantown.

     

    Visitation will be Friday, October 6, 2017 from 8:30-10:45 a.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Germantown.

     

    Memorials may be made to St. Boniface Catholic Church or St. Boniface Cemetery and will be received at the church or through Moss Funeral Home in Germantown who is serving the family.
