Donna M. Humphrey, nee Seger, age 67, of Trenton, passed away Thursday, September 26, 2024, at home surrounded by her family. She was born January 17, 1957, in Highland, a daughter of the late Donald and Eloise, nee Welling, Seger.
Donna is survived by her loving daughters, Megan (Kevin) Donjon of Trenton and Emily Humphrey of St. Louis, MO; grandchildren, Hayden (friend, Gianna Bilbruck) Harper and Keegan Donjon; siblings, Diane (Randy) Erwin of Highland and Dana (Rob) Haag of Trenton; nephews and nieces, Nick, Connor, and Kylie Erwin, and Blake, Abigail (Trevor Gerdes), and Cameron (Meg Poettker) Haag; and friends, Kathy Wolfe, Pat Westphal, Sherry Fischer, Lisa Bell, Ruth Spurlin, and Karen Gebke, as well as numerous other friends.
Donna was a dedicated employee, having worked at Pet Incorporated in St. Louis, MO, before retiring in 2023 as a secretary from Wesclin High School. She also enjoyed her time working at Michael’s Coffee Shop in Highland, where her warmth and kindness were felt by all. Donna was a faithful member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Trenton, where her spirit of generosity and love was evident. She found joy in knitting, reading, baking, and above all, spending time with her grandchildren and attending as many of their extracurricular events as she could.
Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, October 4, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church in Trenton with Fr. George Zieba presiding and Deacon Tom Ritzheimer assisting. Interment will follow at St. Mary Cemetery in Trenton.
Visitation will be Thursday, October 3, 2024, from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. and again Friday, October 4, 2024, from 9:30 – 10:45 a.m. at Moss Funeral Home in Trenton.
In lieu of flowers, plants, and other gifts, memorials may be made to the wishes of the family (checks payable to Megan Donjon) and will be received at the visitation or by mail, Moss Funeral Home, 535 N. 5th St. Breese, IL 62230, who is serving the family.
