    Dorothy A. Buscher, age 92, of Breese, died Friday, January 17, 2020, at Breese Nursing Home.

     

    She was born July 15, 1927, in Bartelso, a daughter of the late Henry and Catherine, nee Schleper, Wesselmann.

     

    In addition to her parents, Mrs. Buscher was preceded in death by her husband, John, whom she married April 23, 1947, at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Breese; siblings Vincent Wesselmann, Theresa Schulte and her husband Art, and Helen Hilmes and her husband Robert; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Bernard and Anna, nee Wermes, Buscher; brother-in-law Lawrence Kassen; and sister-in-law Toots Wesselmann.

     

    Surviving are her children Joan (Dennis) Rolfingsmeier of Breese, Judy (Chris) Pollock of Coopers Cove, TX, Vernon (Anne) Buscher of Breese, Tom (Pat) Buscher of Breese, and Dale (special friend Michelle) Buscher of Aviston; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; brothers Greg (Clara) Wesselmann of Breese, Hank (Marie) Wesselmann of Germantown, Jerry Wesselmann of Breese, and Virgil (Alice) Wesselmann of Beaver Prairie; and sisters Marie Kassen of Breese, Veronica Blumenstein of Breese, Bernie Yapp of O’Fallon, Aggie Dumstorff of Breese, and Ruth (Bud) Jansen of Damiansville.

     

    Mrs. Buscher was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, American Legion Auxiliary, and Our Lady’s Rosary Makers.

     

    Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, January 22, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Breese with Fr. Chuck Tuttle presiding.  Interment will follow in St. Dominic-St. Augustine Cemetery in Breese.

     

    Visitation will be Wednesday, January 22, 2020, from 8:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Breese.

     

    In lieu of flowers, plants, and other gifts, memorials may be made to St. Augustine Catholic Church Building Fund or Breese Nursing Home Activity Fund and will be received at the church or through Moss Funeral Home, who is serving the family.
