Dorothy M “Dot” Kuhn 91 of Trenton died Monday September 10, 2012 in Carlyle, IL.

She was born July 24, 1921 in Port Arthur, TX to Charles B. and Cleo (Bridges) Barksdale Sr.: they preceded her in death.

She married George S. Pugh Sr. October 31, 1944 in Atlanta, GA and he preceded her in death March 10, 1985.

She then married James Kuhn February 1, 1987 at St. John United Church of Christ in Trenton and he preceded her in death November 6, 2008.

Also preceded in death by sons Jeffrey S. Pugh, Charles “Rick” Pugh, a sister Charlyne Davis, brothers-in-law Arnold Davis, a sister-in-law Vera Kuhn.

Surviving are her children Phyllis and husband Howard Beemer M.D. of Pittsford, NY, Charlyne and husband Donald Turken of St. Louis, MO, Stu and wife Shirley Pugh of Wildwood, MO.

10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

A brother Charles and wife Fran Barksdale Jr. of Nederland, TX.

A brother-in-law Walter “Red” Kuhn of Trenton.

Dot was a homemaker, a veteran of the U.S. Navy for 2 years, where she was an Air traffic controller, and a volunteer for many community organizations.

Memorial service will be Friday September 14, 2012 at 11:00 am at the Moss Funeral Home in Trenton with Rev. Carl Pinkston officiating.

Family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 am Friday at the funeral home.

Memorials can be made to Clinton County Humane Society or Parkinson’s Association and will be received at the funeral home.
