Harriet H. Schoene, nee Holznagel, age 87 of Trenton, born August 13, 1929 in Chicago, a daughter of the late Harry and Catherine, nee Schreiner, Holznagel, died Friday, December 16, 2016 at St. Mary’s Health Center in St. Louis.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband Robert Schoene, whom she married June 18, 1955 in Arlington Heights, IL and he died August 10, 2008; a brother, Jerry Holznagel; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Russell and Wilma, nee Kuhn, Schoene; and sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Betty Holznagel, Bob Whitecliff, Patricia Holznagel, and Judith Holznagel.
Surviving are her children, Virginia Schoene of Trenton, Carole Schoene of Killeen, TX, Kathy Schoene of Trenton, and Russ Schoene of Redmond, WA; a granddaughter, Makena Schoene; her siblings, Genevieve Holznagel of Arlington Heights, Shirley Whitecliff of Gerlach, NV, Ron Holznagel of Schaumburg, and Harold Holznagel of Kernersville, NC; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Don and Barb Schoene of Pittsboro, NC; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Harriet was a retired postal clerk in Trenton and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Trenton, the National Active Retired Federal Employees (N.A.R.F.E), the Clinton County Farm Bureau, and the Trenton Cemetery Association.
She was a Drake University Volleyball fan and avid Chicago Cubs and New York Yankees Fan.
Funeral Service will be Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Trenton with Pastor Mike Rucker officiating. Interment will follow in Trenton Cemetery, Trenton.
Visitation will be Tuesday, December 20, 2016 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. and again on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 from 9:00-10:30 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Trenton.
Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church in Trenton, Trenton Cemetery, or to the Western Clinton County Senior Services (WCCSS) and will be received at the church or through Moss Funeral Home, 105 S. Main, Trenton, IL 62293 who is serving the family
