Jeanne grew up in Carlyle and graduated from St. Mary’s Grade School in Carlyle and from Mater Dei Catholic High School in 1965. She later received her B.S. in mathematics from St. Louis University. After graduating, she worked for three years as a cartographer with Aeronautical Chart and Information Systems in St. Louis. After moving to Trenton in 1972, Jeanne alternated between a stay-at-home mother and working. For six years she owned and operated a women’s clothing store called the Chic Shoppe, which had formerly been owned by her mother-in-law. In 1989 she started working at Community Bank and was there until her retirement in 2011.
In her early years in Trenton, Jeanne was involved with the Trenton Women’s Club where she served as treasurer and later president. She was also a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and Altar Sodality in Trenton, Trenton Chamber of Commerce, and former Girl Scout Leader. Jeanne enjoyed watching her grandkids and attending their school and sporting activities. Her favorite hobbies included reading in her retirement years and traveling.
