- Full Obituary
Kimberly R. “Kim” Hegger, age 47, of Aviston, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, surrounded by the love and presence of her devoted family.
Born on April 10, 1979, in Breese, Illinois. From the very beginning, she carried a bright spirit marked by warmth, determination, and a deep devotion to the people she loved most.
On April 2, 2005, Kim married the love of her life, Jason Hegger, at St. Dominic’s Catholic Church in Breese. Together they built a life centered on family, resilience, and unwavering love. Their greatest pride and joy were their two sons, Brayden and Ryker Hegger, who were the center of Kim’s world. She was their most loyal supporter, their constant encourager, and truly their #1 fan at every event, always cheering the loudest and loving the deepest.
Kim is survived by her husband, Jason; her sons, Brayden and Ryker; her parents, Marcia (Alan) Stine; her siblings, Chelsey (Terry) Pollmann of Breese and Tyler Stine of Breese; nieces Kenna and Karlee Pollmann; mother-in-law Irene Hegger; brother-in-law Eric (Jacqueline) Hegger; nephews Aidan and Jayce Hegger; father Thomas Thole; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family who will forever hold her memory close.
She was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Ken Hegger; her aunt, Nancy Weber; and her grandparents, Tony & Margaret Mondt, John & Betty Stine, and Edmund and Esther Thole.
A proud 1997 graduate of Central High School, Kim furthered her education at Missouri College, where she studied in the medical computer field. She built a dedicated career with SOGA in Breese, where she remained a valued and loyal employee throughout her professional life. Kim also shared her friendly presence behind the bar at both the Breese and Aviston American Legion, where she formed many lasting connections and friendships.
Kim lived life with a beautiful blend of strength and joy. She loved adventure—especially riding side-by-sides through the outdoors—and found energy in community events like Hooterfest in Beckemeyer. She enjoyed the excitement of a good shopping trip, the peace of getting lost in a book, and the simple comfort of solving puzzles on her iPad in quiet moments of rest. Above all, she had a gentle, nurturing heart and found deep peace in holding and caring for babies, a reflection of her naturally loving spirit.
In recent years, Kim faced extraordinary challenges with remarkable courage. Through every difficult day, she remained steadfast—anchored by her love for Jason and their boys. Her strength was not defined by ease, but by perseverance, grace, and an unshakable will to keep fighting for the people she loved most. In every sense of the word, she was a warrior—resilient, determined, and deeply devoted until the very end.
Kim’s life was one of love in action—love for her family, her friends, and the life she built so intentionally. Her presence was a source of comfort and strength to those around her, and her memory will continue to be carried forward in the hearts of all who knew her.
