Linda B. McRee, age 81, of Trenton, passed away Friday, January 28, 2022 at Trenton Village.
She was born February 23, 1940 in Haines City, FL, daughter of the late Hardy and Mildred, nee Braxton, Brown.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy McRee, whom she married June 28, 1959 in Mt. Dora, FL and who died July 16, 1999; siblings Billy Brown, David Brown, Vada Brown; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Lee McRee, Sue Perry, Junior McRee, Ernest McRee, Peggy (Harry) Smith, and JD Carter.
Linda is survived by her children, Cindy (Dan) Sims of Trenton and Sandy (Mike) Anderson of Papillion, NE; grandchildren, Candis (Kevin) Doty, Bryan (Jenna) Sims, and Alyson (special friend, Eric Deering) Kleiboeker; great-grandchildren, Connor and Kullen Doty and Karter and Harlyn Sims; brother George (Linda) Brown; and sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Annette McRee, Mickey (Jonell) McRee, Jackey (Judy) McRee, Joe Perry, and Sharon Carter.
Linda retired as a transportation specialist from Scott Air Force Base. She was a woman of Christian Faith and former member of Metro East Christian Fellowship. Linda enjoyed yardwork with her husband, traveling overseas, and going to church.
Funeral Service will be Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Moss Funeral Home in Trenton with Pastor Luke Schutzenhofer officiating. Private interment will follow.
Visitation will be Tuesday, February 1, 2022 from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at Moss Funeral Home in Trenton.
In lieu of flowers, plants, and other gifts, memorials may be made to Trenton Village Memory Care Activity Fund or Hospice of Southern Illinois and will be received at the visitation or by mail, Moss Funeral Home, 105 S. Main, Trenton, IL 62293, who is serving the family.
