Lorraine Mary Wieser, nee Fenno, age 92, of Trenton, passed away Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at Greenville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born July 6, 1932, in Berlin, ND, a daughter of the late Melvin and Irene, nee Reader, Fenno.
Lorraine is survived by her beloved husband, Cyril Wieser, of Trenton, whom she married July 9, 1953, in Dumont, MN; children, Rick (Judy) Wieser of Cape Girardeau, MO, Daniel Wieser of Fort Myers, FL, Michael (Suzi) Wieser of Chesterfield, MO, John (Tami) Wieser of Highland, and Mary (John) Cajigas of San Diego, CA; twelve grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; siblings, Jerry (Heidi) Fenno of Crookston, MN, Steven (Maureen) Fenno of Milwaukee, WI, Mary (Chris) Hagelie of Remer, MN, and Margaret (Rod) Eastby of Finley, OH; and nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Lorraine was preceded in death by her stepmother, Fern Fenno; siblings, Betty (John) Anderson, Connie (Gene) Thelen, Jeanne Fenno, Jim (Ruth) Fenno, Tom (Carol) Fenno, and Mike Fenno; and several Wieser brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Lorraine dedicated many years to her career at Jim’s Formal Wear before retiring. She was an active member of St. Mary Catholic Church and the Altar Sodality in Trenton. Her family meant everything to her; she was deeply involved in their lives, cheering them on at sporting events and being the #1 scorekeeper at their baseball games. Lorraine had a passion for sewing, crocheting, knitting, and riding her bicycle. She loved playing cards with her family and bridge club and took great pleasure in canning and making dill pickles. Lorraine had a special fondness for watching sports, especially golf and St. Louis Cardinals baseball.
Funeral Service will be Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. at Moss Funeral Home in Trenton with Deacon Tom Ritzheimer officiating. Interment will follow at St. Mary Cemetery in Trenton.
Visitation will be Wednesday, August 21, 2024, from 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at Moss Funeral Home in Trenton.
In lieu of flowers, plants, and other gifts, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or VITAS Hospice and will be received at the visitation or by mail, Moss Funeral Home, 105 S. Main St. Trenton, IL 62293, who is serving the family.
