Lynn S. Rakers, age 61, of New Baden, passed away Monday, December 26, 2022 at HSHS St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in O’Fallon.
She was born May 12, 1961 at Scott Air Force Base, IL, a daughter of the late Clifford Leroy Koepp and Cleo, nee Ott, Koepp-Hoercher.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Greg Koepp and Colleen Jo Koepp.
Lynn is survived by her children, Lesley (Virun) Williams of Trenton, Kyle (Katherine) Cameron of New Baden, Paula Rakers of New Baden, and Kim (Kevin) Goebel of Trenton; grandchildren, Kaleb, Chloe, Tytona, Iveon, Virun, Jr., and Allysia Williams, Ricky, Reinneck II, and Payson Rakers, and Quintin, Bently, and Logan Cameron; and siblings, Gary Koepp of Texas, Scott Koepp of Alton, and Holly Inskeep of St. Louis, MO.
Lynn worked as a certified nursing assistant at West Main, Clinton Manor, and several other nursing homes. She enjoyed shooting pool, throwing washers, and loved spending time with her grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
Memorials in honor of Lynn may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois or Clinton Manor Activity Fund and will be received by mail, Moss Funeral Home, 535 N 5th St. Breese, IL 62230, who is serving the family.
